Motorhome Door Lock Stuck
Stuck locked door latch.
Motorhome door lock stuck. You ll know if you have a global lock because it will have a g on it. This can be a common problem for rvs with the global lockset. Karen the dead bolt is a straight mechanical bolt that is usually unaffected like the door lock part. Remove the three screws securing the interior door lock assembly with a star bit screwdriver.
Fortunately we are not camping. Global locks have a small lip that can jam and keep the door from opening. How i got in and replaced the lock. The keys for the dead bolt and the latch handle are functional.
It will swivel on the inside door handle shaft. We are locked out of rv. The door has some jiggle room but one of the latches is still extended far enough to be catching on the door jam. Let us know how it works out.

Use a pair of pliers to bend the bent lever up into the proper position. If you cannot rack or twist the door a little to release that stuck latch your solution of removing the screws might be the better way to go to avoid damaging the door or the center lock assembly. But the first thing i would do is go to your local hardware store and gt a piece of carpenter s chalk. Of course this is after you ve managed to open the storage compartment door.
